Pets are welcome.
Pets are welcome at the farmhouse for a $75 pet fee. Let us know you’re bringing a pet when you request your stay, and we’ll go over the details before we confirm.
Room to roam.
Dogs have the run of the farm’s 100+ acres, from the hay fields to the farm lane. It’s a rare chance for a dog to stretch its legs in the country.
Sharing the farm with the animals.
Our chickens and ducks usually roam free. If your dog doesn’t get along with birds, tell us ahead of time and we’ll keep them in during your stay. The sheep live in a fenced area.
Trails and lakes nearby.
Spend a day exploring the area. Straight Lake State Park is about 10 miles away, and Interstate State Park in St. Croix Falls, one of the region’s big attractions, is about 17 miles. The Gandy Dancer State Trail and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail are close by too.
Rice Lake is about a mile from the farm, Big Butternut Lake about 6 miles and Half Moon Lake about 7, and Balsam Lake is a favorite in summer. Check each park’s pet rules before you go.
Right on the farm, hiking trails wind around the property in summer, and this winter we plan to open them for cross-country skiing once the snow arrives.
