Longview Farm – A Family Legacy Since 1957
Longview Farm sits just outside Milltown, Wisconsin — a place rooted in hard work, family, and the quiet beauty of rural life. After returning home from World War II, Raymond rented a small farm along Highway 35, but in 1957, he and his wife Manetta found the land that would become their lifelong home. Together, they walked their herd of Holsteins down the snowy road to the new property — 160 acres they proudly named Longview Farm.
The land had humble beginnings. Originally settled in 1883 by Peter Scott with just 40 acres, and later expanded by the Hermanson family, it needed plenty of care when Raymond and Manetta arrived. With determination and faith, they restored the old buildings, raised six children, and built a thriving dairy operation, milking 45 Holstein cows and growing their own feed crops.
For Raymond, earning Grade A status was a milestone that reflected his deep pride in the farming life — a life he had known since childhood and passed on to his family. Today, Longview Farm remains a tribute to their legacy — a place where the hard work and heart of generations still echo across the fields.
