May 24, 2022As others have said, this home made us feel that we were visiting a beloved aunt or grandma. So very comfortable, impeccably clean, spacious, and stocked with everything we... read more could possibly need. We took time and walked around just marveling at all of the details - the woodwork, clever storage spaces, extensive collections of knickknacks, old records and movies, and more. Despite the welcoming "old farmhouse" feel, there was every modern convenience we could want.
The land itself is gorgeous and as city/suburban folks, we loved spending time just walking the quiet road in the morning and watching the dog run around and find new smells (and small bits of animal carcass left by the eagles - haha!). We enjoyed the chickens and were lucky enough to catch a couple quick glimpses of the elusive bald eagles. (FYI - the two times we saw them were very early morning - around 6 a.m.)
We hiked at three state parks - there are many within an hour's drive - and we loved just driving the scenic roads.
Julie and her sister could not have been kinder and more welcoming hosts. We had amazing treats waiting for us, communication was 100%, and Julie did everything possible to make us feel welcome.
It was truly a memorable experience.Pam
